Demonstration for unemployment support at New York City Hall (circa 1930s)

Typed caption: June Croll, young girl communist leader shown addressing part of the 1,000 communists who marched on City Hall, New York City July 7 to demand that the distribution of food and clothing to unemployed workers be not discontinued. Police were cautioned to permit the communists to talk and after having their say the delegation dispersed without disorder.
